We know that there is a period of up to six hours , during which it is possible to influence certain types of memories embedded in the human mind. We showed that in healthy volunteers, playing Tetris during this time can reduce the number of stressful memories.

Scientists have proven the benefits of the iconic game after three studies involving volunteers. This method of distraction has been found to help dampen memories, or unprocessed sensory images of the trauma, in people with PTSD. Their condition improved significantly after 20 minutes of play.

Experts note that Tetris should not be a separate treatment method. Only qualified medical care can help people with PTSD.
